Irish Examiner view: Marking 30 years since Veronica Guerin's murder

As the journalist is remembered, her killer will soon be eligible for parole

Friday marked the 30th anniversary of the murder of Sunday Independent journalist Veronica Guerin in Dublin.

The then 36-year-old died when she was shot six times while stopped at traffic lights on the Naas Rd, a crime which brought the nation to a halt.
