Resolve to listen to more music: The great power of song

The power of music, that great, uplifting, redeeming force remains one of the great mysteries. We know it works, but can only guess, and keep guessing, how it can have such a profound impact on our emotions.

That enriching mystery was recognised by two announcements, and one study, yesterday. The Arts Council announced the launch of Irish National Opera, and Music Network welcomed funding of €245,500 to support the purchase of instruments.
