I have never visited the eastern Ukrainian town of Avdiivka, but I grew up in neighbouring Donetsk. The two are connected by a frequent bus service — bus number 105.

Starting at the giant main city market of Donetsk, the yellow Ikarus bus, made in socialist Hungary, could be seen moving through the city centre, heading to nearby Avdiivka. It was always crowded.
