It was a bit like Mass in the old days. People might talk if you weren’t seen there, writes Michael Clifford

They came not to praise the closures, but to bury them. Leinster House is a ghost town this time of year, but the Oireachtas communications committee was overflowing with members and other parliamentarians who wanted to get their spake in.
