Fianna Fáil is investigating an alleged on-street spat involving the canvass teams of two of its candidates.

Senator Darragh O’Brien has claimed the incident involving members of his team and those canvassing for his running mate have “been blown out of proportion”.

But Lorraine Clifford-Lee, who is also running for Fianna Fáil in the competitive Dublin Fingal constituency, said members of her team were left “upset and intimidated” after the altercation.
