Once a pet is registered with Dogs Trust — Ireland’s largest dog welfare charity — the organisation promises to match it with a responsible, loving new home, no matter how long this takes. “It gives peace of mind to the owner, knowing their dog will be looked after should the pet outlive them,” says Bentley.
