A smart move by a proactive leader, but will it be enough?

But Micheál Martin’s decision to urge Cork North Central TD Noel O’Flynn to retire rather than run again is a smart move.

And those within Fianna Fáil who despaired at the seeming inattention paid by Brian Cowen to the party’s electoral prospects will be relieved to see that the new leader is quickly getting to grips with problems.
