Fair dues to former Scottish first minister Nicola Sturgeon. Fair dues to her for not pulling out of Listowel Writers Week where she was due to appear onstage. 

Of course, she will have sold and signed a fair few copies of her memoir by so doing, but still, it took professionalism, not to say courage, to pitch up there during the very period when her ex-husband was confessing to embezzling £400,000 from the political party she had — until relatively recently — led.
