Terry Prone: Nicola Sturgeon may have been misled by her embezzling ex, but she should have spotted his lousy taste

The former Scottish first minister says she been deceived by Peter Murrell's embezzling of £400,000 from the SNP. She may also be hard-pressed to explain what she saw in this criminal vulgarian.

Fair dues to former Scottish first minister Nicola Sturgeon. Fair dues to her for not pulling out of Listowel Writers Week where she was due to appear onstage. 

Of course, she will have sold and signed a fair few copies of her memoir by so doing, but still, it took professionalism, not to say courage, to pitch up there during the very period when her ex-husband was confessing to embezzling £400,000 from the political party she had — until relatively recently — led.
