The movie Singles surfaced again recently in our house. It holds up.

One of the main characters is Steve, played by Campbell Scott, a transportation engineer for Seattle’s city council. His big idea is the Super Train, as he tells Linda, a prospective girlfriend: “Do you think about traffic, ever? Because I do, constantly. Traffic is caused by the single car driver, 900,000 single people get in their cars every morning and wonder why there’s gridlock.
