We’re almost there. As we waddle away from the Christmas table, we can acknowledge that 2023 has been an emotional rollercoaster. When we raise a glass on New Year’s Eve, let’s hope for a smoother ride next year. Here’s a review of the mad, the bad, the sad, and the funny that the year brought us.

In January, Enoch Burke was formally dismissed by Wilson’s Hospital School. Certain members of the evangelical Christian Burke family were to become familiar figures. Mr Burke’s dismissal centred on his objection to a school direction to address a transitioning student by their chosen name.
