Accountability on procurement needed

Recently it has been pointed out — the failure of Staff at the Department of Finance to follow established procedures in procurement activities.

Ignoring regulations on small procurements leads to ignoring regulations on large procurements.

Unfortunately Ireland has a longstanding history of failing to hold Civil Servants responsible/accountable for their actions.
