The joy that faith brings to those who believe will be plain for all to see. Most of those celebrations will be accompanied by sacred music. Some performances will be wildly hit-and-miss, others heartfelt if tottering and uninspiring. More will be delivered with precision but maybe not with the passion at the core of all the great music composed to intensify the sacraments and worship by world’s religions.

And this, on a weekend of great mysteries, points to another one. Maybe not one as deep but nonetheless perplexing.
