It is a nonsense to suggest that the electorate rejected Fine Gael

A minority government can be formed and can work provided the government party is cohesive and is short five or six seats.

It is a nonsense to suggest that the electorate rejected Fine Gael

In those circumstances there will always be enough independents of responsibility and integrity to make up the numbers and ensure stability.

A party short 30 seats and even more, a party short 36 seats cannot in any circumstances form such a government.

The only sane political statement so far has come from Michael Healy Rae, when he stated the blatantly obvious, “there is only one show in town”, and accordingly it is time for Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael to quit their childish posturing and shaping and get real.

Already they have done serious damage to our economy and to our reputation and because of their irresponsible utterances, the majority of previous law-abiding citizens have now decided to discontinue paying their lawful water charges.

Seán Fleming’s assertion that FG must be rejected as a government party because 75% of the electorate did not vote for them is most stupid and it is worse if he cannot see the irony in that 75% of the electorate did not vote for FF either.

However, if the two parties do get together, their still remains the problem of Taoiseach.

A Taoiseach must display leadership, ability, economic knowledge, eloquence and some charisma. The incumbent does not possess any of the above.
