There is no room in the inn over Christmas in our so-called Christian country. Some of the reasons cited for this delay would be funny if not so tragic, like “problems on the ground where large numbers of refugees are arriving are affecting the relocation process”.
So it’s the middle of winter, snow and storms in the Middle East and the Balkans, Britain has just joined at least nine other countries in bombing Syria, and Germany has just approved German military involvement in the Syrian civil war.
Increasing numbers are fleeing the terror of war in Syria, and many who manage to escape from Syria will now die on the newly erected razor-wire borders of Europe.
Some people even have the cheek to refer to the European response to the Syrian crisis as “defending European and Christian values”. Oh Jesus Christ, forgive us.
