It’s shameful that we can’t find room at the inn

So, refugees will not arrive in Ireland before 2016. That’s great, isn’t it?

There is no room in the inn over Christmas in our so-called Christian country. Some of the reasons cited for this delay would be funny if not so tragic, like “problems on the ground where large numbers of refugees are arriving are affecting the relocation process”.

So it’s the middle of winter, snow and storms in the Middle East and the Balkans, Britain has just joined at least nine other countries in bombing Syria, and Germany has just approved German military involvement in the Syrian civil war.
