Labour needs all the help it can get ahead of the general election

IT IS difficult to feel any optimism for the Labour Party regarding its prospects in the upcoming general election.

Both Government parties are in that lull period now where they are waiting for the election campaign to begin. While waiting they are doing their best to stay out of political trouble. But rather than where they had hoped and planned to be in terms of opinion polls, both parties know they need a boost, most particularly Labour, if the Government is to be re-elected. It is difficult though to help a party not that good at helping itself.
