Prone’s devilish dictionary was selective

I was lost for words when I read Terry Prone’s article about “The Devil’s Dictionary”.
Prone’s devilish dictionary was selective

She seemed very selective in her examples, leaving out “burning the bondholders” - in real phrasing this would be “making unsecured gamblers face their legal losses” - and avoiding the political bastardisation of the word “apology”, as seen in Dara Murphy & Enda Kenny’s more recent “apologies”.

The upcoming budget will see the phrase “giving back” abused instead of “letting us keep some of our own hard-earned cash”.
