Belated regrets from nuns means nothing

I write with regard to the female religious orders expressing regret and distress to Teresa Devlin, CEO, of the National Board for Safeguarding Children over the harshness of the regime that their orders oversaw.

Belated regrets from nuns means nothing

They acknowledge that they knew it was rough and dreadful, particularly in the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s — “where kids were treated like objects, not children”.

As someone who experienced same, their regret and distress means nothing.

Many lives were ruined.

End of story.
