Enda’s constant repetition may have a purpose

With his last letter, Desmond Fitzgerald questions the intellectual vigour of our Taoiseach, Enda Kenny.

Enda’s constant repetition may have a purpose

I don’t know if I subscribe to this statement in its totality. However, when Kenny talks, the same phrases are repeated over and over again, almost incantatory, as if he doesn’t want us to think critically about what he’s trying to tell us, or even if he is actually telling us anything at all.

Reminds me of a phrases from one of Aldous Huxley’s books: “One believes things because one has been conditioned to believe them.”

Perhaps we can excuse Mr Kenny’s repetition, as, by profession, he is a teacher.
