‘No’ campaigners should walk hand in hand with someone of same sex

Some No campaigners have recently taken to arguing that there is an atmosphere of “menace” and “victimisation” in this referendum while espousing their polemical views against extending equal marriage rights to loving same sex couples.

These feelings actually emanate from being on the wrong side both of history and facts.

I’ve had the great fortune to have had the opportunity to canvas parts of Cork city and county recently and to have been greeted at doors by genuine enthusiasm that contrasts with the lack of compassion and openness that is the hallmark of those who now see themselves as victims.
