Top garda’s refusal to make tea was obduracy
Now that the commissioner has told us just how she distinguished herself, and, indeed, rose through the ranks, might she let us know when some serious action will be taken about the dire drugs problems in inner-city Dublin, and elsewhere.
In case she hasn’t noticed, it is worse than it was on the day she was busy asserting herself, for the sake of putting bread, butter and ham together — and boiling a kettle.
None of it sounds like a versatile, flexible personality to me, and refusing to cater for guests at your office is not a sign of a dynamic person.
Digging your heels in on a petty principle is more like stubborn obduracy, I would say, as would many more.
