Israel’s Jews not ancestors of ‘biblical race of people’
The majority of today’s circa 10m Jews living in Israel are non-Semite descendants from the massive, proselytising programme in the first century, possibly instigated to counteract the spread of Christianity.
There is no evidence to support the claim that today’s non-Arab Jews can trace their ancestry to a biblical race of people.
While they share a common religion, they have no connective genetics, no shared DNA. They are, in fact, descended from converts whose native lands were scattered across the Middle East and Eastern Europe. They personify the traits and aspirations of the varied cultures of the countries in which they lived.
