Rally against austerity

It was heartening to see millions of French citizens unite and march in Paris in support of the victims of the ‘Charlie’ massacre. People came together to make their voices heard, rallying in support of their not-so-lucky fellow citizens.

It would be great to see Ireland follow the same example under different circumstances; to rally against austerity and support each other.

Terrorism, as happened in France, could happen here also and it’s only normal citizens who suffer and not the people who make the decisions.

France has a history of standing together and rallying. If only Ireland and its people took a few pages out of their book and rallied against the austerity forced on them. Let 2015 be the year of the citizen and don’t allow politicians divide us further around austerity.
