It existed long before it, and other pagan rituals, were hijacked by the Church. It’s about love between two people. Homosexuality existed before

Christians formed their Church; it was widely accepted. Don’t concern yourself about how other people live, once they are harming no-one and are happy. To me, it’s traditional, heterosexual family units that seem to be in turmoil.
