Democracy has vanished in Ireland

Democracy is rule of the people, by the people. We seem to have four people ruling at the moment. These four make the decisions and the Whip tells the party members how to vote.

Just because they pay for water in Europe does not mean we have to do the same. Europe told us to bring in water charges but water charges are not the wish of the Irish electorate. The next thing is we will have to pay for the air we breathe because four people decree that we have to. Where is rule by the people?
