A shoe protest to stop water charges

Every citizen should be entitled to basic amount of water, to wash, to cook, to launder. This should be free. After this, should charges be introduced.

A shoe protest to stop water charges

Ways I’d like to suggest for peaceful progress:

1. Wherever a member of the government parties is speaking, select a member of the audience to throw a shoe up beside them;

2. Wherever a member of the government is speaking arrange for the audience to turn their backs on them;

3. Inform public representatives, who do not clearly oppose water charges, of your written resolve not to vote for them at the next election;

and, 4. Arrange for public ceremonial burning of the water information packs.
