Is Fitzgerald advocating a lawless, free-for-all society
Fitzgerald says āIf you are against gay marriage, then donāt marry a gay personā and āIf you object to abortion ā¦. then you wonāt have an abortionā, because by doing either of these things, third parties are unaffected, and it is, therefore, none of their business.
However, Fitzgerald ignores the fact that the majority of Irish people consider an unborn child to be a human, and, therefore, an abortion amounts to the killing of that person, which most definitely impacts on that third party.
