Gerry Adams is a national treasure

Would they have arrested de Valera for the murder of Michael Collins?

Would they have arrested Michael Collins for the murders of the infamous ‘Murder Squad’?

The facts are that during times of conflict/war that blood is shed and atrocities are committed on all sides. One might not agree with the wars, but the facts of war are much the same everywhere. They are terrible.

What I object strongly to, is when the people/person who was mainly responsible for bringing about peace, are targeted unfairly for others, who are less scrupulous, for their political gain.

Gerry Adams should be recognised as a national treasure; instead the man is constantly vilified by his political opposition.

That political opposition has proven itself incompetent over the decades and unduly influenced by a wealthy business elite. The result of their incompetence and corruption is an imbalance in society, in fact the desecration of society. It is extremely regrettable that the media are not independent enough or ethical enough to expose this travesty of ‘natural justice’.
