Lovely weather we seem to be having recently. We’re just out of one the most powerful and destructive storms ever to be seen in Ireland.

The eighth storm since St Stephen’s day, and more are due. And these are just a fraction of all extreme weather events happening globally over the past few years, which are continuously increasing in frequency and intensity.

Climate change is happening now, and happening faster than we assume. The results of which can only be catastrophic. The attitude of just saying “oh be God, the weather’s awful” and not doing anything about it, is typical of humanity and ‘crossing the bridge when we come to it’ is the worst option, as the bridge will have been swept away due to immense flooding.
