Leaked tapes too late

Is it not ironic that a journalist has received an award for leaking tape recordings of what was going on in the financial institutions during the Celtic Tiger?

It would have saved a lot of people a lot of pain, and this country from the indignity of a bailout, if all of us had been told what was going on in financial institutions and government.

Leaking it now is too late and is just a distraction from the job of cleaning up the mess.
