Powerful citizens are being hypocritical

We just had a campaign to get rid of an elitist Seanad because it is unaffordable in a country that has been bankrupt by the decisions of its most powerful citizens.

The campaign to retain it was led by politicians who were in power for a long time and not alone did nothing to ‘reform’ the Seanad — they participated in the decisions which bankrupt the country.

They were supported by a media which cheerled over many years the decisions which bankrupted the country.
