No to appeals court

I would like you to consider the Appeals Court referendum and what it might mean for Irish homeowners in arrears.

No to appeals court

There is no political party against it and no debate, but I believe the Irish people should vote no. There are 80,000 homes in mortgage arrears. The banks have made it clear in that they only had one “solution” to mortgage arrears — repossession.

I believe the appeals court is being introduced to expand the courts system to be able to deal with repossessions that the banks want to pursue. If the Irish people vote no it will help force the banks to find other solutions or at least buy time for those in arrears.
