So the members of ASTI have voted to reject the Haddington Road Agreement. Fair enough, you might reasonably comment — that is their prefect right to so do.

No reasonable person could possibly argue a case against that decision. Equally, I dare say, those members who so voted against accepting that agreement, did so under no illusions, rejection meant just that — a rejection of the full terms (any pros or cons) of that agreement.

The General Secretary of ASTI states the prospect of ‘industrial action’ on Oct 2 is not about ‘money’ but rather pertaining to working hours and conditions.
