Not enough women

A beautiful photographic exhibition entitled Faces of Cork has been on display in Cork airport.

The two charities benefiting from the exhibition are most worthy. The under-representation of women in the exhibition, is however, regrettable. Of the 64 portraits, 44 are of men and only 20 are of women.

Women count. They deserve equal representation in public culture and their unequal inclusion in this exhibition is a blemish on the Faces of Cork.
