There is a lot of talk recently about austerity measures not working. That is solely because the Government is only making superficial cuts for show and imposing taxes that cause further damage to the morale of our rapidly shrinking tax-base.

At the wealthiest period in Irish history (according to the great chancer Bertie), we were actually €40bn in debt.

That is because we had to pay for the 370,000 people in the bloated Government’s service.
