Revenue needs to tidy up its act on property bills

I’m sure we are not the only home owners who have received a letter from the Revenue asking us to pay local property tax on two homes.

Revenue needs to tidy up its act on property bills

We have one home/house which we have been living in for decades. We are prepared to pay this tax, in order to do so we need a proper bill. Talk about putting the cart before the horse.

The Revenue should have done its homework, and then sent out demands. I have no idea how they came to believe we have more than one property. We receive but one voting card each. Our post comes to one address. Would it be too much to ask the Revenue to review and correct their demand. Why should we spend time and effort sorting this out? If I send out a bill it would be with an invoice listing all the items I was owed money for. I wouldn’t write to my debtor stating; “You owe me money, not sure how much, not sure for what, sort it out and send me the money!” What a mess.
