Await coroner’s verdict

I would suggest that before commenting on the tragedy in Galway it would be prudent to await the verdict of a coroner.

And before commenting on the discrepancies between the law in Ireland and those in other countries that both be examined.

An Irish journalist on BBC radio today was apparently under the impression that abortion on demand is permitted by statute in England and Wales. Her interviewer seemed no better informed.

In fact the 1967 Statute, about the length of this letter, acknowledges no such “woman’s right to choose” but imposes certain conditions.
