Don’t make pensioners feel like a burden

It’s becoming noticeable that when EU governments allude to pensioners, it is always with the added ‘admonition’ that older folk are living longer now, and costing more because of this. What next?

Perhaps instead of iodine tablets to stave off the effects of nuclear fall-out, pensioners will be issued with little self-euthanasia packs of encouragement for when they feel they’ve over-lived and have been a “burden” on the State for long enough.

They shouldn’t cost much.
