Let’s capture the world with The Gathering

Upon attending The Gathering forum at Cork City Hall recently to see the procedure and hear the proposals set out from the large attendance, it was great to hear some exciting proposals.

The Gathering is a celebration of all we have achieved as a country by bringing back those who had to leave during tough times. No matter where you go, you will find Irish descendants and Irish communities.

One of the items highlighted at the forum was the suggestion that a book should be put together of famous Irish people home and abroad, and to portray what they stood for. You only have to look at the Irish Examiner (Sept 29) to see some famous people being portrayed. The inside story covered our present and former presidents and what they have achieved over the past 25 years.
