In praise of Kenny

It was with a mixture of disbelief and bemusement that I read the letter from Caitríona Mc Clean (Sept 1) in relationto Enda Kenny and current Government policy.

The ‘cosying’ up to the ECB is the government fulfilling its legal obligations in relation to the bailout. But the line that really beggars belief is about the ‘people who were doing their utmost on behalf of this country’! Yes indeed, their utmost to wreck and dismantle our economy, hence the IMF/ EU intervention.

The disastrous bank guarantee and subsequent humiliating bailout happened on the Fianna Fáil watch. Enda is doing hisutmost to get us out of this mess and deserves our support.
