Bureaucrats are designed to be unproductive

The waffle about Ireland’s so-called alcohol problem makes me realise the origin of one vicious circle in our lives.

Bureaucrats are designed to be unproductive

We, the much-abused taxpayer, have so many non-productive bureaucrats because none of them achieve anything for the country, so we need more bureaucrats, etc, etc.

Most of what has been said reminds me of everything I read about the half-witted bumbling that led to Prohibition in the USA.

The problem would be solved by a good education system — but, then, so would nearly all of our other problems.

Which is why it will never happen.

If we had a good education system — in mental and physical health, finance, justice, and the environment, for instance — we would only need 15 or 20 people in government.

So we will continue with the vicious circle of the clumsy brainwashing of our children so they will believe in, and pay for, a useless governmental system that will continue brainwashing generations of children — and so on and so on.
