Double charge

I was interested to read that Mr Hogan promises to take action against those who fail to pay the household charge.

Yesterday, I recieved an email to inform me that I owe €112 as it said I had not paid the tax.

I did pay and I rang them up and was told that it was a mistake.

They checked my PPS to confirm my payment and said there was a computer problem and that other people got this notice.

This morning I got a receipt but no apology.

Mr Hogan should, I suggest, get a proper system in place first and not further annoy honest taxpayers.
