Teachers are to blame

I cannot understand how RTÉ slavishly reports every angry, selfish word from a smug, overpaid elite. Yes, I am talking about the teacher conferences.

While the rest of us have to work, if we are lucky, this crowd of moaners can have a paid week off to give out about cuts in education.

Now, if they did not take 90% of the education budget, as you so excellently reported, there would be no need for any cuts.

Schools cannot afford to pay teachers’ wages, pension benefits and ‘extras’. Now, maybe, the parent associations around the country might consider who are the real cause of education cuts.
