Closed for lunch

Last Thursday I visited Cork for one day. My first trip was to the tourist office — “Closed for Lunch 1 to 2pm.”

Myself and other tourists were aghast. Such arrogance, typical of semi-state organisations supported by the taxpayer. Have the staff never heard of staggered lunch hour? Apart from that hiccup, Cork is a lovely city to visit.
