Unfair comments

I was dismayed to read Maurice Fitzgerald’s letter (Apr 2) this morning concerning parking permits and the disabled.

I have a serious muscle condition and can walk several metres without any apparent impairment, but after relatively few steps, my muscles become compromised.

There are many other people in my situation, regardless of diagnosis.
