Why I won’t pay

I, for one, will not be paying the household tax. I am totally opposed to the bank bailout.

I would gladly pay the tax if it were to be spent on our hospitals, schools, and other amenities.

After all, this is what taxes are for, not to enhance the living standards of greedy bond holders and bankers.

I can easily afford to pay this tax but as a protest I am refusing. Instead I am sending a cheque to Crumlin Childrens’ Hospital Emergency Fund, which is where our money should be going in the first place.

Who are more important to us as a nation, our sick children or European bankers?
