Household tax unfair

Regarding the proposed household charge, it seems to me not much thought went into it. Did anyone consider people like me living on their own with just the State pension to live on?

Household tax unfair

There are those of us who scrimped and saved to buy a house, worked hard to repay the loans with interest, don’t smoke or drink (cannot afford to). I live in a very rural area — there are no buses, a car is not a luxury, it’s an essential. There are others who live in rented houses, maybe three or four adults bringing in money, and they are exempt from having to pay.

It seems very unfair to me.
