Michael Clifford’s column (Opinion, Mar 10) about the household charges was nothing short of disgraceful.

There are many, many people in this country who are absolutely pinned to the collar with bills and more bills. It’s a disgrace that since the campaign against household charges began, the media have taken the Government line. Radio shows never have a spokesman from household charges groups but have plenty of FF, FG and Labour people on to discuss the topic.
