Government ministers are letting us down

As we approach the eve of another St Patrick’s Day, our esteemed political representatives prepare to make their annual pilgrimage to the four corners of the globe in an effort to market the many attributes our little island nation has to offer.

While I have no objections about this ritual, the fact is that a large proportion of our young skilled graduates and workforce have fled, or are in the process of fleeing, the country in search of employment and they may find that this could be a large disincentive to prospective investors.

Our very attractive Corporation Tax rates have always been a beacon for large multinationals; however, with our sovereignty slowly being eroded surely this, too, will be ripped from the claws of our now whimpering Celtic Tiger which has been stuffed and mounted by the EU taxidermists.
