Kenny not in picture

Reading Shaun Connolly’s report in the Irish Examiner made me just very angry.

Not with Shaun, who I believe to be a brilliant columnist.

But to read that the leader of our Government thinks that €30,000 is good value for having his photo splashed across the papers is beyond me.

Myself and my wife are living solely on the State pension.

Mr Kenny and his sidekick Mr Gilmore, when in opposition, promised us that we would be one of the first they would take care of.

They sure have: Water charges, household charges, cuts in home heating and ESB allowance.

I am in my seventies.

I pray that I will be around by the next election, to tell Jerry Buttimer, Ciaran Lynch and the rest of this Government’s candidates that they are the very same chancers as the last crowd.
