THE recent intemperate language spoken by the Taoiseach, and the closure of the Irish Embassy to the Vatican have deeply disturbed the Catholic people of Ireland.

When it comes to God, we reap what we sow

The failure of the coalition government to represent properly the views of those of us who hold dear our links with The Holy See, seriously undermines confidence and support for our elected representatives.

You are acting as though our 1,500-year tradition of Christianity in Ireland is worth no more than 30 pieces of silver. I am asking that this decision be reversed. Young people are now encouraged by the media to almost worship celebrities, while the worship of God in many cases is almost frowned upon.
